Stepping on the white sand beach of Treasure Island at this decadent rental home you feel like you’ve been transported to a Caribbean paradise. The pool terrace dripping with brilliant blooms and tropical foliage provides cover from the sun. Tiki Go Go creates a distinctly island mood with fruity drinks accompanied by zesty Caribbean-inspired Hors d’Oeuvres.
BEACH HOUSE PARTY
Rum Runners and Pina Coladas kicked off the evening. 82degrees with a strong chance of Mai Tais. Ocean breezes from the Southwest mingle with the sounds of our tropical playlist.
Surf and Turf Birthday Bash
After a leisure meet and greet tropical cocktail happy hour poolside at the downstairs beach bar, our bartender, Kristen ushered everyone upstairs to be seated for our fabulous “Surf & Turf” dinner. The candles were lit and lights were dimmed. Champagne was poured and a chilled shrimp cocktail appetizer was served to each guest. Next to arrive was a plated salad course of sliced lemon marinated pears, bibb lettuce, crumbled feta cheese & toasted slivered almonds. Classic Frank Sinatra songs and big band tunes softly played throughout the meal. A very special third course of Tiki Go Go’s all time favorite “Jumbo Crab Cake” served with house made remoulade & romesco sauces. Our dinner guests were all visiting from Palm Beach and the hostess had rented this huge beach house on the Gulf of Mexico in Treasure Island to provide an alternative tropical paradise for her birthday celebration. Folks from the East Coast of Florida all know the legendary Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant of Miami and they were thrilled to eat our version of Joe’s super tasty crab cake. Chef Tom Hawks was grilling the petite Filet Mignon steaks, as the roasted asparagus, twice baked potatoes, creamed spinach got ready to be pulled from the oven….the prepped Maine Lobster Tails went under the broiler. A quick roast with one more basting of our herb garlic brown butter and they were plated up to crown the feast. The decadent customized dinner party menu included all of the birthday gal’s favorites. We ended the evening with an unforgettable Coconut Key Lime Cake and a phenomenal sunset on the terrace overlooking the beach.
