Our retro Tiki Go Go Tea Party is truly a wonderful way to gather family & friends together. We catered a Garden Tea Party to celebrate a milestone birthday of one of our Tiki Go Go clients and everyone was thrilled!
More and more Americans are adapting the English High Tea to their own use in home entertaining. A lovely, gracious way to entertain indoors or outside in a garden, the tea party has many uses: it is outstanding as an occasion in itself, for a wedding reception, a baby shower, an engagement party or graduation. It is most beautiful if slightly formal in its appearance; that is, using vintage porcelain teacups & saucers, sterling silver, garden flowers, white or pastel linens and cloth napkins.
In keeping with the late afternoon High Tea of Great Britain, we prefer for them to be held for two hours at about 4 to 6 o’clock. Of Course, depending on the occasion and location, the party may be earlier or later, the food more substantial or lighter, and the duration long or short.
It’s a very memorable dining experience that really only a tea party can offer. Part of the allure is that tea party food is based in strict tradition, but the variations on tradition are limitless. Offering an assortment of tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, specialty bite-size baked goods like “Petite Four” cakes, cream puffs and mini scones with herb & fruit jellies.
The traditional paper-thin English style tea sandwich, made from crust-less white bread, has infinite possibilities for creativity. Our Tiki Go Go Tea Party has a very popular tea sandwich version of today’s hipster “Avocado Toast”. Keeping with modern times and our guest’s special dietary needs, we often create some gluten free options. Of course, we would never want to eliminate the very delicious classic cucumber, mayonnaise, watercress tea sandwich. Customized menus can vary from all sweet to all savory or a mixture of the two.
Special moments are enjoyed at our Tiki Go Go Tea Party. We recommend all the guests add to the theme by dressing in glamorous attire.
Our Tiki Go Go Tea Party is inspired by the three different but similar Elequelent High Tea Services which I personally had the phenomenal pleasure to experience at three Iconic California Hotels : the Crystal Palace Sheraton Hotel in San Francisco, the legendary Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco and the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay.
